Driver Causes Damage To I-74 Construction
(Moline, IL) — The Illinois State Police say a driver in a hurry caused tens of thousands of dollars in damage to the still-being-built I-74 bridge. Troopers say the driver tried cutting through fresh concrete on one of the bridge’s ramps, and sliced two grooves in the wet cement. The State Police say the damage will cost anywhere between 20 thousand and 30 thousand-dollars to fix.
