More than 300 companies are taking part in a campaign to boost voter turnout next month. The businesses partnered with the Time to Vote initiative for the November 6th midterm elections. Patagonia and Levi Strauss are offering paid time off, while Uber and Lyft are offering free rides to the polls. Walmart, Tyson Foods, Dick’s Sporting Goods and PayPal also support the non-partisan effort to get out the vote. No federal laws require employers to give workers time off to cast ballots.
