This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for east central and southeast Illinois including: Champaign-Christian-Clark-Clay-Coles-Crawford-Cumberland-De Witt-Douglas-Edgar-Effingham-Jasper-Lawrence-Macon-Moultrie-Piatt-Richland-Shelby and Vermilion counties
DAY ONE…TODAY AND TONIGHT…
Southerly winds will gust to around 30 mph this afternoon. This may cause difficult travel for high profile vehicles on west east roadways.
Scattered thunderstorms are possible tonight. These are not expected to be severe.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY…
A few thunderstorms may linger into Wednesday morning south of I-70, but these are not expected to be severe. However, heavier rains Wednesday into Thursday may lead to ponding of water in poor drainage areas.
