This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Illinois, east central Illinois and west central Illinois.
.DAY ONE…TODAY AND TONIGHT…
Rain will quickly change to snow this evening and then continue overnight. Around an inch of accumulation is possible before it ends toward sunrise Friday morning.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY…
Some melting and refreezing of the snowfall Thursday night is possible on area roads, which could lead to some slick spots for the Friday morning commute.
Another quick weather system will move across northern Illinois Friday and Friday evening with a brief dusting of snow possible. Behind this system cold air will move into the area with Saturday morning lows in the upper teens to 20s. These temperatures will combine with breezy conditions to create wind chills in the single digits for early Saturday morning.
Periodic chances of light snow will occur Sunday night through Tuesday.
