The University Of Illinois Wants 16-Percent Funding Boost
(Urbana, IL) — The University of Illinois wants more than two-thirds of a billion-dollars from the state of Illinois next year. The Champaign News-Gazette yesterday reported that the school wants 16 percent more from the state, that’d come to a total of 692 million-dollars in taxpayer support. Most of the money would go to pay for salaries for professors and other university employees.
