(Tallahassee, FL) — The U.S. Senate race in Florida is headed for a hand recount. Florida’s secretary of state ordered the recount because the latest machine recount tally showed Republican Rick Scott leading incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson by a very narrow margin. Today was the deadline for counties to turn in their machine recount results. There will also be a manual tally in the state’s agriculture commissioner race. The recount has to be completed by Sunday.
