(Los Angeles, CA) — Officials are promising that Paramount Ranch’s iconic Western Town is going to rise from the ashes. The set where hundreds of movies and television shows have been filmed was destroyed by the Woolsey Fire last week. Yesterday, officials announced a plan to rebuild it within two years. HBO was filming portions of its Westworld series there, but it has been used by production companies since 1950s when The Cisco Kid began shooting there. Only two of its buildings survived the fire, a church recently built for Westworld and the train station that is seen often in Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. The National Park Service owns the land and rents out the set to production companies and also allows visitors to wander its streets.
