Western Illinois Digs Out From Blizzard
(Moline, IL) — A foot of snow is a lot of snow to shovel. Folks across western Illinois found that out the hard way yesterday. The National Weather Service says the blizzard that cut across the state early yesterday morning left behind a foot of snow from north of Peoria to the Quad Cities and over to Rockford. Forecasters say the snow is going to stick around for a while; it’s supposed to stay under the freezing mark for most of the week.
