The Illinois volleyball team has swept Marquette this morning at Huff Hall, in Champaign, 25-19, 25-21, and 25-16. This is the first Elite Eight trip for the Illini, since their second place finish in 2011.
Illinois will play again on Saturday (December 8) at 3pm at Huff Hall against Wisconsin or San Diego (1:30pm, Friday, December 7, at Huff Hall) in the Elite Eight.
With a win on Saturday, the Illini would advance to the Final Four at the Target Center in Minneapolis next Thursday, December 13.
