They are still accepting donations until 4pm today (Wednesday, December 12). Keep reading if you would like to help Mattoon CUSD #2 reach the $5000 mark for Taylorville:
“The Mattoon Community Unit School District 2 family extends a big thank you to all of those who have made monetary donations to assist the community of Taylorville which was recently hit by a tornado. The generosity shown by our friends and family in the school district and our friends and family in the Mattoon community have helped us earn almost $5,000 in donations for Taylorville. We are really close to meeting the $5,000 mark so if anyone still would like to make a donation, they will be accepted until 4 p.m. today (Dec. 12) at Mattoon High School or the Board of Education offices. Make checks payable to MHS and write Taylorville Student Assistance Fund in the memo. A check will be presented during the Mattoon and Taylorville boys basketball game this Friday when the Green Wave travels to Taylorville. Thanks again for helping us help a wonderful Apollo Conference competitor in their time of need.”
