AAA: One In Three Americans To Travel This Holiday Season
(Orlando, FL) — AAA is predicting more than one-third of Americans will hit the road this holiday season. The travel company is anticipating a record-breaking 112-point-five million travelers to take the nation’s runways, roads and rails in what will be a four-point-four-percent increase over last year. The high volume of passengers is also the highest on record since AAA began tracking holiday travel. A majority of people are expected to travel by car, with 102-million Americans driving to their holiday destination, while six-point-seven will fly. The year-end holiday travel period is defined as Saturday, December 22nd through Tuesday, January 1st.
