Michigan AG’s Office: Michigan State Stonewalling Nassar Investigators
(Lansing, MI) — Michigan State University is being accused of stonewalling state investigators looking into the abuse by Dr. Larry Nassar. State Attorney General Special Investigator William Forsyth says MSU appears to have a culture of indifference towards sex assault and cares more about protecting the school’s reputation. Forsyth also said today MSU tried to hide emails and made sure university attorneys were at witness interviews to keep them from being completely honest with the probe. The state started investigating Nassar, the former USA Gymnastics national team doctor who was given decades in prison for abusing gymnasts, earlier this year at the request of MSU.
