New Law For 2019 Allows Schools To Expand Sub Search
(Springfield, IL) — Illinois schools will have a new option to find substitute teachers in the new year. A new law for 2019 from Chicago Democrat LaShawn Ford allows school districts to work with temp agencies to find qualified substitutes. The subs would have to be licensed to teach, and would still have to meet classroom guidelines. Ford says working with a temp agency can expand the pool of possibles subs beyond a school district’s immediate vicinity.
