Governor-Elect Pritzker Plans New Criminal Justice Agency
(Chicago, IL) — Illinois’ governor-to-be is looking to change how Illinois deals with second chances for inmates. Governor-elect J.B. Pritzker last week announced the creation of the Office of Criminal Justice Reform and Economic Opportunity. Pritzker’s team says the idea is to bring criminal justice and restorative justice under one roof. Lieutenant Governor-elect Juliana Stratton will lead the effort on criminal justice reform.
