Tremont Marine Remembered As Kind, Selfless
(Tremont, IL) — Friends and family members said their last goodbyes to a central Illinois Marine over the weekend. Hundreds of people turned out for Corporal Daniel Baker’s funeral in his hometown of Tremont. Baker died earlier this month when his refueling plane went down in the ocean off the coast of Japan. Baker’s friends and family members say he was a kind young man who loved his country, loved his family, and loved his faith.
