(Fort Collins, CO) — The Salvation Army in Fort Collins, Colorado is getting a big lift from a secret Santa. Earlier this month, someone dropped a South African gold coin worth 15-hundred-dollars into a Salvation Army red kettle. The donation follows a 20-year tradition, as almost every year since 1998 someone has dropped at least one of the gold coins into a Fort Collins red kettle. The only year it didn’t happen was in 2001. No one knows who the anonymous donor is.
