(New York, NY) — Wells Fargo is paying 575-million-dollars in a settlement with attorneys general across the U.S. The firm is being investigated in all 50 states and the District of Columbia over its banking practices. The agreement announced Friday settles a range of allegations, including the 2016 charge that employees had opened millions of fake bank accounts to meet sales quotas. The settlement also covers improper practices involving insurance, auto loans, mortgages and financing.
