(New York, NY) — It won’t be a cold New Year’s eve in Times Square, but it wil be a wet one. All went well as organizers tested out the ball drop this afternoon ahead of tomorrow’s big Times Square New Years Eve celebration. Workers watched on as the ball went up and down a 130 foot pole twice. Thirty-two-thousand LED lights lit up around the ball. The ball itself is made up of 26-hundred Waterford crystals. Thousands are expected to jam Times Square. The forecast is calling for rain, heavy at times. The NYPD is warning revelers that umbrellas are prohibited for those who plan to be in attendance at the ball drop at the Crossroads of the World.
