Illinois To Get Nearly 11 Million From Wells Fargo

(Chicago, IL) — Illinois’ share of the latest Wells Fargo settlement comes to just under 11 million-dollars. Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan announced the agreement late last week. Wells Fargo is paying the money to settle claims that it violated Illinois’ consumer protection laws by opening up bank accounts and selling other financial products to people who didn’t need or want them.
