Vatican Spokesman, Deputy Resign
(Undated) — The spokesman for the Vatican, and his deputy, are resigning. Greg Burke said that its best for Pope Francis to “assemble a brand new staff” in a tweet. Francis accepted his and deputy Paloma Garcia Ovejero’s resignations today appointing Alessandro Gotti as an interim alternative. This news follows the pope’s media and communications overhaul which saw the removal of the editor of the Vatican newspaper. Burke, a former correspondent for Fox News, held the position since 2016.
