Moline Leaders Have New Hope For New Amtrak Line
(Moline, IL) — Leaders in Moline have high hopes for Illinois’ new governor. Moline Mayor Stephanie Acri says she hopes Governor-elect J.B. Pritzker will revive the proposed Chicago to Moline Amtrak line. Governor Rauner froze the project back in 2015, mainly because Illinois could not match the federal money set aside for the trains. Acri says Governor-elect Pritzker has talked about a road building plan, that should include money for the Quad Cities.
