Murder Charges Filed In Deadly Champaign-Urbana Shooting
(Urbana, IL) — Prosecutors in Champaign-Urbana are pushing ahead with murder charges against the man accused of a deadly shooting on Sunday. The Champaign County State’s Attorney’s Office yesterday filed charges against Dangelis Chambers. Police say Chambers shot and killed 30-year old Renese Riley, but they’re not saying why. Prosecutors say Chambers has a significant criminal history dating back to 2007.
