RNC Member Proposes Rules Changes To Prevent Trump Challengers In 2020
(Undated) — A member of the Republican National Committee is proposing to change the committee’s rules so that no one in the party can run against President Trump in 2020. Committeeman for the Virgin Islands Jevon Williams sent an email to RNC members today pushing for an “unprecedented” rule change. This comes after incoming Utah Senator Mitt Romney wrote an op-ed published by the Washington Post bashing President Trump. Williams also called for a resolution to declare Trump as the presumptive nominee in 2020.
