(Washington, DC) — President Trump believes it could be a long time before part of the government reopens. At the White House, the President said ending the government shutdown is up to Democrats. Democrats are refusing to back any funding measure that includes funding for a border wall, something the President requires of any spending bill he signs. Trump said border security should be a bipartisan proposition. About one-quarter of the federal government has been shut down since December 22nd.
