Report: Grizzlies’ Team Meeting Turns Physical
(Memphis, TN) — The Memphis Grizzlies are below .500 for the first time since the season opener after losing for the eighth time in the last ten games. There’s a report that an emotional team meeting turned physical after last night’s 101-94 loss at home to the Detroit Pistons. According to The Athletic, veterans Garrett Temple and Omri Casspi went at each other during the meeting Coach J.B. Bickerstaff called “a conversation that needed to be had.” Bickerstaff said the team is struggling with what he called “larger issues.” One of those issues is an almost all-new roster. Only center Marc Gasol, point guard Mike Conley, and reserve forward JaMychal Green remain from the Grizzlies’ last playoff team.
