Some TSA Workers Pulling OT As Others Call Out Sick
(New York, NY) — Some TSA workers at New York City’s Kennedy Airport say they have been forced to work overtime to make up for their co-workers who are calling in sick amid the partial government shutdown. TSA workers are not being paid during the shutdown that’s now in its 17th day. The sick outs began late last week. TSA union officials say some workers have called out so they can take on jobs that will pay them right away.
