Volunteers are needed for the 2019 Homeless Point in Time Count on January 24, 2019. Every year, more than 400 Continuums of Care (CoCs), covering over 3,000 cities and counties across the country organize tens of thousands of volunteers in a national effort to measure the scale of homelessness in the United States. These counts reveal the number of homeless persons in our shelters and on our streets at a single point-in-time. These one-night snapshot counts also provide local planners with the data they need to understand the number and characteristics of persons who are homeless. If you are interested in volunteering to help count during the Point in Time, please contact Jessica Pauley with Embarras River Basin Agency at 217-923-3113.
