Governor Pritzker Will Likely Get Illinois Gun Dealer Licensing Plan
(Springfield, IL) — It looks like Illinois’ new governor will get to sign a new law that’ll add new restrictions on gun dealers in Illinois. Illinois’ Senate President this week lifted a procedural hold on the plan, which means it can now be sent to the governor. J.B. Pritzker takes over as governor on Monday, and he could get the legislation that same day. The proposed law would require gun dealers in Illinois to get a permit from the state to be in business, add a video security system, and maintain a computerized list of the guns and ammunition they have on hand.
