Netflix Upping Prices Again
(Undated) — Netflix users will see prices continue to climb as the company has announced another round of rate hikes. Users can expect to see their bill increase anywhere from 13-to-18-percent. The most popular plan, which is currently priced at eleven bucks a month, will jump to 13-dollars. The basic plan will go from eight to nine bucks, while the most expensive plan will go from 14-to-16 bucks. New prices will be implemented over the next three months, while any new customers will be affected immediately. The most recent announcement is the largest adjustment in the company’s 12-year history and the fourth time Netflix has raised prices for its customers. Company officials say the extra cash will go towards funding more original content and paying back debts owed to studios.
