Peoria Deputy, State Trooper Injured In I-74 Wreck
(Peoria, IL) — A Peoria County deputy and an Illinois state trooper are recovering after an icy accident on the interstate near Peoria. It happened yesterday morning, the deputy and trooper had stopped to help at another accident when police say a trucker lost control and smashed into their squad cars. Both the deputy and trooper were taken to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The trucker was cited.
