Amazon’s new delivery robot will drop off packages right at your door. Yesterday, the company introduced Scout, a cooler-sized, six-wheeled robot, that travels neighborhoods with orders from the site and the app. Six of the electric-powered bots are being tested in a Snohomish County neighborhood 60-miles northeast of their Seattle, Washington headquarters. Each Scout will initially operate Monday through Friday during the day, followed on their route by an Amazon supervisor. Amazon said the innovation was the latest in their plan to “continually invest” in technologies which benefit shoppers.
