An Altamont woman and an Effingham man were killed in a Missouri last night. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, 19-year-old Wendy Rios, and 21-year-old Kaleb Huddleston were passengers in a vehicle traveling on I-70 when the car hit a patch of ice, skidded into the median, and then back out of the median and into the path of a tractor-trailer. The driver of the car and another passenger, both from Missouri, were treated for minor injuries. The semi driver was not injured.
