Over 50-thousand power outages are being reported in western Washington as a winter storm batters the Northwest. Washington Governor Jay Inslee has declared a state of emergency as heavy snow blankets the region. More than 190 flights have been canceled at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, according to Flightaware.com. Weather experts say more than eight inches of snow has already fallen on parts of the Seattle area. The storm is headed south today as it dips into Oregon and Northern California. It will then move more inland toward the northern Rockies tomorrow and Monday.
