Government Issues Recall on Takata Airbags
(Washington, DC) – One-point-seven million vehicles are being recalled because their airbags might injure passengers. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued the recall of Takata airbags for cars made by a variety of manufacturers, including Subaru, BMW, Tesla, Volkswagen, Daimler Vans, Mercedes and Ferrari. It is the most recent recall because the airbags and hurl shrapnel if they explode as they age because of heat and humidity. At least 23 deaths and hundreds of injuries have been linked to the airbags. Visit the N-H-T-S-A website and enter your vehicle indemnification number to see if your car has been recalled.
