(Hartford, CT) — It’s going to be weird to sing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game,” at Hartford’s Dunkin’ Donuts Park this summer, especially that line about buying some peanuts and Cracker Jack. Both will no longer being sold at Hartford Yard Goats games. The Double-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies said they are the first pro sports venue to permanently go peanut free. About 32 million Americans have food allergies and the most common food they are allergic to are peanuts. The Yard Goats’ said they talked to local parents who have children with peanut allergies before deciding to completely ban them from their future games.
