Sesame Workshop Launches Childhood Homelessness Initiative
(New York, NY) — Sesame Workshop is launching a nationwide community initiative to address the problem of childhood homelessness. This come on the heels of the introduction of its first homeless Muppet, Lily, who’s family lost their home. The initiative is designed to help the growing number of children who are homeless across the country by setting up resources in cities nationwide, including Camden, New Jersey. There are more than two-and-a-half-million children nationwide who are homeless and nearly half of them are under the age of six.
