(Daytona, FL) — NASCAR racers will start their engines today in the Daytona 500. Forty racers will speed around the two-and-a-half-mile track 200 times, for a total of 500 miles. Austin Dillon won the Daytona 500 last year in a surprise victory. This year, William Byron is in the pole position, followed by Alex Bowman and Jimmie Johnson. The big race, often called the Super Bowl of auto racing, starts at 2:30 Eastern Time at Daytona International Speedway.
