Neoga National Honor Society Running of the Nerds 5k Fundraiser
The Neoga High School National Honor Society will be hosting their fourth 5k fundraiser race on February 23rd, entitled the “Running of the Nerds.” This race will be a traditional 5k course that starts at Jennings Park in Neoga, but will also have an extra twist to it. Along the race course there will be ten different trivia questions followed by the answer. The questions will vary in category. They could be anything from math and science to history or even pop-culture. Upon completion of the race, participants will be given a paper with the ten questions to answer to test their memory from what they saw along the course. These papers can then be placed into bucket for a drawing. The first paper drawn with all ten questions correctly answered will receive a prize. Other door prizes will also be given away from a drawing of those who registered.
First, second and third place awards will be awarded to the top three individuals in six different categories for both males and females. Registration forms can be picked up at the high school office and at the Neoga City Building or downloaded here. The registration fee is $20 and due by February 8 to guarantee a long-sleeve dry-fit t-shirt. Race day registration will be $25 and a t-shirt is not guaranteed.
