Illinois Gets Another Fiscal Warning
(Springfield, IL) — One of the nation’s bond houses is once again not impressed with Illinois’ plan to deal with its budget deficit and unpaid bills. S&P Global Ratings said on Friday that it considers Governor JB Pritzker’s budget to be dubious. S&P says the new spending plan prioritizes state spending and state services over budget stability and finally getting Illinois’ massive pension debt under control.
