Peoria Public Schools May Push Back Start Time
(Peoria, IL) — Peoria Schools are considering a plan that would give kids exactly what they’ve been asking for for years, a few more minutes of sleep. Peoria Public School leaders are talking about pushing the start of the school day back, from 7:30 to 8 a.m. for high schools and middle schools, and from 8:45 a.m. till 9 for elementary schools. School leaders say a later start time may help kids learn better.
