Lester Named Cubs Opening Day Starter

(Mesa, AZ) — The Cubs are sending Jon Lester to the mound to start the season later this month. The veteran left-hander has been named the Opening Day starter for the March 28th game against the Rangers. It will mark his third straight Opening Day start for the Cubs and fourth overall with the franchise. The five-time All-Star finished 18-and-6 with a 3.32 ERA last season.
