Wisconsin National Guard Won’t Punish Illinois Congressman For Border Comments
(Washington, D.C.) — The Wisconsin National Guard will not press a case against Illinois Congressman Adam Kinzinger for his comments about the mission at the country’s southern border. The guard yesterday said Kinzinger did nothing wrong when he criticized Wisconsin’s governor over his decision to pull the state’s troops from the border with Mexico. Kinzinger said as long as he is off duty, he can say whatever he wants. Kinzinger also met with President Trump yesterday, to talk about his time on the border.
