Peoria Welcomes Boys High School Basketball Championships
(Peoria, IL) — Peoria will be the center of Illinois’ high school basketball universe for the next two weeks. Today is the first day of the IHSA boys’ basketball state tournament. Class 1A and Class 2A teams will play it out this weekend. Locals in Peoria say the tournament is not only something to brag about, but it brings in thousands of visitors and potentially millions of dollars in economic impact. The Class 3A and Class 4A games will start next weekend.
