National Weather Service Warns Of Potentially Historic Mississippi River Floods
(Davenport, IA) — It could be worse than 1993. The National Weather Service is warning folks in the Quad Cities, and up and down the Mississippi River that this spring’s flooding could be historic. Forecasters yesterday said there is a 50-50 chance that this year’s floods could be worse than the historic floods of 1993. They say there is a 90-percent chance the Mississippi will hit major flood stage sometime this spring.
