The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for Fayette County from 10am this morning until 7pm tonight. A High Wind Watch is in effect from Thursday morning through Thursday evening for Fayette County too.
* WINDS…Today, south 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. On Thursday, south southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph
* TIMING…The advisory is in effect from 10am this morning through 7pm this evening. The watch is in effect from 9am Thursday through 7pm Thursday.
* IMPACTS…Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. These winds could also lift and move trash cans, lawn furniture, and other loose outdoor objects.
