A’s Beat Cubs In Slugfest

(Mesa, AZ) — Chad Pinder smacked a two-run homer as the A’s beat the Cubs in a 12-11 slugfest in Mesa. Cristhian Adames, Anthony Rizzo, Johnny Field and David Bote left the yard for Chicago. Jon Lester gave up seven hits and seven runs in less than three innings to take the loss. The Cubs host the Rangers today with Yu Darvish opposing Texas’ Adrian Sampson.
