Ford Confirmed Salaried Worker Cuts
(Dearborn, MI) — More salaried job cuts are expected at Ford Motor Company as part of an eleven-billion-dollar overhaul. Workers in accounting, administrative support and other areas at Ford World Headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan are reportedly losing their jobs in addition to members of the IT team in China. In the Detroit Free Press, spokesman Said Deep says “We’re not going to provide any numbers. We will provide details once the process is complete in the second quarter.” He adds the redesign is going to “reduce bureaucracy and empower our leaders to focus on the most value-added work and ensure we have the right cost structure around the world.”
