Stolen Kobe Bryant Jersey Recovered
(Ardmore, PA) — What started out as a case of a missing local high school basketball jersey belonging to an NBA great has turned into an international plot. A devoted Kobe Bryant fan in China says he discovered that he had the NBA star’s signed Lower Merion High School jersey in his possession. The shirt was stolen from the suburban Philadelphia high school two years ago in a theft caught on school surveillance video. Liu Zhe [[ Lou Juh ]] says he purchased the shirt from a sports collectible dealer in 2018. The 28-year-old Zhe says once he discovered he had the stolen shirt he contact the school and shipped it back to Lower Merion High. School officials are hoping to get the jersey back to its rightful place in the trophy case in the coming weeks. No arrests have been made in the case. Bryant graduated from Lower Merion High School in 1996 and had his school jersey number retired in 2002.
