Illinois Lawmakers: Little To No Chance For Emergency WIU Money
(Springfield, IL) — The state of Illinois is not going to save over 100 jobs at Western Illinois University. Lawmakers yesterday told WIU supporters that there is ‘little to no chance’ they will be able to find the dollars for an emergency funding package. Western laid off 132 people earlier this month as it tries to rightsize the university.
