Scientists Find Fossil Bird Carrying Unlaid Egg
(Undated) — A bird that lived in China more than 100-million years ago is setting a paleontology milestone. She’s the first fossil bird known to have been carrying an unlaid egg when she died. Researchers say the bird that died 115-million years ago could shed light on reproductive disorders in ancient birds. The discovery is described in this week’s edition of the journal Nature Communications.
